Dear PIX,
I would say that it is entirely possible that this is impossible, but this is down to my misunderstanding of how this
all works. ADR provides unreal resolution when zooming in to time punch effects i.e. multiple SFX under one second.
The fact that PDR handed over to do this the first time I was like wow. The fact that it would not do it a second time
had me absolutley stumped.
I now understand that the video file has to be produced in order to get back into ADR in the same manner.
Produce video in ADR seems to have less video bitrate options so I guess I will produce in PDR if I need to get back.
Many thanks for your answer.
Regards,
Steve.

Ok this is hard to explain but i will give it my best.
I take gopro footage edit the video how I need and throw away the audio because gopro audio is rubbish.
I produce this file so I end up with only one file only on the time line. The audio is there but it is blank or silence.
In PD click on EDIT AUDIO -> AUDIO DIRECTOR and PD hands control over to AD.
I do all the wiz-bangery add all my sound effects while using the AD video preview pane - sweet as.
In AD if I click on BACK or X to close I am returned to PD with the audio track as I wanted added as the new
Produce(1).WAV.
The video and audio are now unlinked on the timeline. I can click on the audio on the time line and
EDIT AUDIO -> AD but no more AD video preview pane
Here is the problem ... There is no option to get back into AD to make more changes with the AD preview pane,
even if I link these two files...
After all the effects are added the audio track is extended by all the effects I put in.
I trim the right hand end of the audio by selecting it and deleting it so it matches the lenght of the video.
I have tried linking after that as well to no avail.
I hope you can get where I am coming from now.
Regards,
Steve.

Hi all,
I produce a video with no audio and then open it in a new project.
Audio appears as blank and correct length (is good).
Edit in audio director with preview video pane for correct sync for sound effects.
Save this and send it back to PD (still good).
If I want to make another change and send it back to AD preview video pane is no longer available.
I have tried to make sure video/audio are linked as in the first instance but no joy....
Does anyone know where I am going wrong here?
Surely you can have more than one attempt at this
