Quote PackerDude – Check out this post: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/50868.page . I did not ask which operating system is on this user’s pc. Doing the type 1 conversion solved it for this user. You might want to try this while waiting for answers from tech support.

Sorry for the lateness of my response...I have been busy with other projects. Technical support wanted a sample of my DV-AVI files for further testing. They also suggested changing to another file format. I have decided on the latter solution. Most of my DV-AVI files are 26GB and I am running out of space on my hard drive. I am using Handbrake and trying various containers and codecs. I will probably use MP4 container and H.264 codec. If you have any recommendations for a file format to use in PD15, please share them
Quote Thank you for the update. Think that both of you should report this problem to Cyberling tech support and tell them about it if not already done so. I beleive avi's should work properly with PD users with win 10 even if a patch needs to be made.

I have already created a service ticket with Cyberlink on 1/5/2017. Cyberlink asked for more information which I immediately responded to. I have not heard back...If one of the mods can contact Cyberlink about this issue on our behalf, that would be awesome!smile
I just upgraded to PD15 from PD12 on a new windows 10 computer. With WIN7 and PD12, I had no problem with importing my DV-AVI files for my projects. With WIN10 and PD15, when I try to import any DV-AVI file, I get this message(see attachment).

I submitted a ticket to Cyberlink last week but I have not heard back yet. I really do not want to convert all my DV-AVI files to another format...I have over 200 DV-AVI files! I have downloaded K-lite codec pack and use the codec tweak tool trick and this did not help.

I am just wondering if there any any other possible fixes to try...
