Hello all,

I'm really hoping someone can help me with this issue, I've been dealing with it for a while now. Basically, I use Powerdirector 17 (and 16 before that) to edit my team's flag football videos by cutting out the nonsense in between plays to produce an ~8-10 minute video instead of having a 50 minute video. The problem I'm having is at certain spots depending on where I split the clip, the video is extremely choppy. I attached a link to a short video showing 3 plays, the first and third are perfectly fine, but the one in the middle is very choppy (or jumpy). The audio plays just fine, it's the video that is the issue. This happens in preview mode as well as when the video is produced.

Additionally, the jumpyness seems to go away if I make the video shorter or longer, and I attached a link for another short video showing that as well.

Like I mentioned, I'm using Powerdirector 17, but I had this issue on 16 as well. I'm recording the video with my iPhone 8 at 60 fps. This issue occurs when I'm editing the standard MOV as well as if I convert to an MP4. Below are the specs for the computer I'm using:

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40 GHz

  • Ram: 16 GB

  • Boot drive (local C): 120 GB--49.5 GB free (Samsung SSD 750 EVO)

  • Source drive (D): 2 TB--1.74 TB free (Hitachi - Ultrastar 7K3000 3.5" 7200RPM)

  • Destination drive (E): 2 TB--1.23 TB free (Hitachi - Ultrastar 7K3000 3.5" 7200RPM)

  • Motherboard: MSI - Z170A SLI PLUS ATX LGA1151

  • OS: Windows 10

  • Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 530

If anyone could help me solve this issue I would be so grateful. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, so I'd appreciate any input. Thank you all so much in advance!
Hey everyone,

I just got PD15 and am having some issues when I try to edit files. I attached a couple screenshots to show whats happening, but basically the video will play fine before before I try to split the clip, but after a split is made, the video is stretched like crazy. Anyone experience this before?
