Dafydd, I appreciate the help! Yall rock! I hope that fixes the issue. I am very confused with shadow files. I remember it promping me during installation about allowing shadow files or something of that nature. I will make revised adjustments and get back with you on results!

Again, thanks
Attached are screen shots!

Also, .MP3 are 320 kbps
Dafydd B, I applied a .MOV file over 20 times into the software and they were no issues with lagging. It appears to do this worse after I get the timeline amount over say 15 minutes. I usually will not use over 4-5 tracks at most throughout an entire episode.
Attached is Diagnostic file and a screen shot of the PD info!
Skibum, Im no stranger to file storage. On the machine im running now, I have a 1TB internal harddrive, 5TB external drive, and a 500 GB external drive.

I hope you guys can help get this stuff lined out for me. Tons of money and time invested in all this for me to not be able to edit.
Skibum, I had read on another post about the Magic + PD. I plan to try that. Have you seen any decrease in quality when you compress a file prior to editing it in PD? I just think a double compression would cause issues, but im not sure. I guess if I produce the main edited file as 10bit it should be the same.

Dafydd B, I will get you requested information ASAP.

Thanks
Skibum, it is a HDD. The guy that built it says not having a solid state drive could be the issue of why the software is operating so slow. That's what's so slow and freezing is working within the software. When producing it's super fast.
U can search on youtube the Backyard Outdoors Channel and watch some of the videos I produce to give you an idea. the recent S2:E7 "Redemption" and S2:E6 "Game of Odds" can give you an idea of the type of editing i do using powerdirector. I must be able to do some color grading and if this software just wont allow me to do that then I will have to give up on PD, as it limits my abilities. I really like the software though.
come to think about it most of the formats on the new videos I worked on have been .mov. I recently purchased a 70d SLR and it records .MOV as default and I haven't changed it. Before, everything was .MP4 raw. The latest episode was a mixture of .MOV and .MP4.
tomasc,
Thanks for your reply! By complex, I mean more audio and video tracks being utalized in the timeline 'Layering". I edit HD 1920-1080p 30 "29.97" fps. I produce files at 1920x1080 30 fps at 8-12 bit rate depending on network requirements. This new computer has NO issue rendering and producing. The final production is wonderful and extremely fast. However, it while editing in the software that it just lags and is so slow its hard to even work. The more clips u apply to the time line, more effects, more modifications to clips, more fix/enhance you alter "color especially", it works slower and slower with each one, so slow that i have to limit my work so it don't completely freeze up.

Now, On my old system while editing everything worked great but it was the production that sucked. I would get multiple errors and the production would fail. I would have to break the episode into small segments and produce them separate, then apply all the small produced clips into a new .pds file to produce the episode. See, it dont make sense to me!! I have give up on any lag free previewing, I just want to be able to edit without everything freezing and after every click having to wait 40 seconds for the action to take place.

Note: Please read this sticky and supply Part A and Part B DxDiag.txt.

I am new to the forum and I have no idea what this means. I apologize. If you can explain what this is, I will get the info for you.

Thanks so much
Here is the requested information! Let me know if something stands out that could be causing the issues.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks in advance
I am new to this forum and would not consider myself very Tech savy. However, I have produced over a dozen 30min episodes using PD 12 and am very familiar with the software. So, After really making my episodes more complex i started having issues with PD 12. I assumed I was having Graphic Card issues and had that verified by a local IT. The system was older and I decided it was time to upgrade. I purchased a custom built editing computer. I installed PD 12 and still had bad lagging in preview and crashes. I decided to upgrade to PD 14, as this was the last thing I could think to do. Once I upgraded it would appear to work as I needed it to. I could speed up videos and it would play back without lag, I could add multiple video tracks along with effects, color adjust, etc and it seemed to work. Then it started acting up. Now while editing it works great one second and starts freezing another and sometimes just crashes and I have to close the program then reopen, which if i didnt save i lose work and its killing me. I have tried to click "wait for PD to respond" and even left it over nigth to come back to the same freeeze screen where the curser was froze as well. I do a ton of oputdoor video editing and actually air on a couple different channels. Being a poot hillbilly with a ecology background video editing and production was like foreign language to me. I learned what i could using the software but CANNOT get my machine or software to operate as I need it to to get the job done. I dont want to give up on PD bc I dont have time or the will power to learn Adobe. Can someone please help??? I spend well over 1k on this new machine to not have editing problems and its really got me to the point of throwing away 5 years of work of building my outdoor media platform straight out the window. This is my dream and I am so close to achieving it, I just cannot get my equipment to function as I need it to.

I will pay whoever can fix my issues!
