Quote: Buying a laptop for gaming and video editing is always a waste of money and results in sub-par performance (in relation to money spend).

Why people insist on doing that, I will never know.

If you simply read before commenting you would understand.

Why people insist on not doing this, i will never know.

I followed steps that i found via google that lead me to this forum. Had me rename some .exes and download some other files
Followed the GPU steps and now my program won't even launch. I even Reinstalled PD14 and it won't launch so I have a new problem on my hand to conquer. The Reason I don't use my desktop is because I would have to get up and go over to it every single time I recorded and stopped recording. ( If the plug even reached) with a laptop I can sit in my recliner and do everything from there.

Just bought Powerdirector 14 and love it so far. Really looking to get into HD Videoediting. More specifically Capture Carding Xb1 gameplay and making game Reviews. I bought a brand new laptop specifically for video Editing. I have 2TB Hard drive, 16 GB ram, a dual core i7-6500U 2.5 & 2.59 GHZ that I thought was a quad core sadly. GPU is a Geforce 940M. The processor simply is not powerful enough to use Powerdirector 14 and that's very obvious to me. Powerdirector alone take up 95% of my CPU even playing a video with effects on it and the whole system is just bogged down.

Here's the good thing and here's where my question comes in. I have 80 days to return it and I found a laptop for the same price but I have a little bit of a trade off.

I can get a Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ (2.6 GHz, up to 3.5 GHz, 6 MB cache, 4 cores) which would obviously be an upgrade.

BUT, I would be trading my Geforce 940M for an integraded Intel® HD Graphics 530. I need to know if The HD Graphics 530 would work fluently with HD video editing on powerdirector 14 or if I would be trading in my current problem for a new problem? I'm okay with not PC gaming This laptop is for video editing and website building.

What do you think folks?
