Hey thanks for the quick response.
I am new to editing but really want to learn. I'm sure my ignorance is going to shine through here and if this is wrong forum to ask, I apologize.

First I'm using PD13.

I'm editing videos originally recorded in avchd and MP4.

..If I import a few clips into PD13, complete my editing, then go to produce and keep the same parameters the clips were filmed originally (ie MP4, 1920x1080, 30p etc), will I technically be losing quality of the video. I've always read that any time you edit then reproduce a clip, even if left in the same format, you lose quality or frames or whatever. Something about the trade off of the digital age versus the old way with tape,etc.

Again, I apologize for my novice with terms and hopefully this makes sense what I'm asking.
