At General Audio Settings I can only chose Stereo or Surround. I think this is the problem. It should show the name of my audio interface as a selection...but it does not.
yes, on my PC, when I unplug my sound card (have them everywhere) it works fine. Seems it doesn't want to play with external audio interfaces??
This must have something to do with my audio card on the computer. Under preferences/audio channel it has only two choices-stereo or surround. There should be a choice there for my audio card......this must be the problem. Thanks so much for your help so far....any ideas about a sound card?
Audio Track one is the only slider that moves but it shows no volume level when you raise it.

Thanks but it seems the problem is elsewhere. Makes no sense because sound works for everything else....and the imported file shows a sound wav.

I recorded a short test and when I import the file into drector 13 i get no sound. You can see the .wav below the video file but no sound. What am I doing wrong?
