latest NVidia driver doesn't seem to do 3d in windows 8 either . . . . think i'll revert back to an earlier driver until they fix this
any suggestions ??
I've got a Nvidia GT610 gfx card which is 1.4 / 3d compliant, 3d compliant cable. This set up worked fine with PowerDVD 11 / windows 7.

My TV is an LG passive 3DTV - 2014 model - all was well with my setup listed above.

Just upgraded to Windows 8.1 and also PowerDVD 14 and now 3d does not work.

With powerdvd 11 / win 7, playing a 3d blu ray used to auto set the TV into 3d mode, but with powerdvd 14 / win 8.1 it just plays the film as if it is 2d.

I've already downgraded my other PC back to win 7 as the AMD card no longer suppoerted blu ray with win 8.1, looks like I'll be downgrading back to Win 7 / PowerDVD11 and cancelling the subscription to Powerdvd 14!!
You misunderstand, I have audio, but there is no video. Just a black screen. All worked fine in win 7 with same hardware, only since windows 8.1 upgrade the other day this has stopped working properly.
just upgraded to powerdvd14 and windows 8.1, all worked fine with windows 7, but now I get sound but no video on blu ray playback. got the lates hd4850 driver installed which was same for win 7. bd advisor passes everything.

any advice ?
