this should be device agnostic as the input to the computer is from thru a device with USB i/f toward the computer and component i/f toward camera. So any camera of any media becomes transparent to the computer/PD

Just purchhase/installed power director 13 to convert Hi8 mm to digital (dvd).
The hookup is through kworld dangol with USB and Component connections. The connecting to the Hi8 mm camera is on the component side. The connection to the PC with Window 7 Professional 64bit equipped with PowerDirector 13 Ultra is on the USB side.
The capture seem to come thru the TV interface on the PD13. When i start the capture it stops shortly after (1-5 min) complaining about copyright protected content. This is family recorded film/content - they are about 7-8 yrs old.
Is there any configuration setting to make PD13 keep capturing without stoping?
