whoa had me worried there, no I checked I was able to import and place the Claymation photo slides with transparency intact. They are PNG24 with locked transparency each file is about 3 MB so they aren't really huge.

by saving the images to web I can preserve the transparent background, that does appear to be black when imported but it is actually transparent. Thanks Tony
has anyone managed to import transparent psd areas into pd12 and how did u do it? no issues saving as PNG but transparent areas appear s black in pd12. Alternativly is there a fairly quick way in pd12 to remove these black areas that should be transparent?

Title pretty much sums it up, firstly what d I need to save the psd images as in order for the transparent areas to remain transparent for when I import them into PD12? - currently transparent areas resort back to white. Im aware of the opacity option but what I really need is for the areas that are transparent on the psd images to remain transparent so the video background track fills the transparent areas and the psd images are in the foreground.
