I had the same problem on a v13 update - hijacked the lot !
VERY VERY annoying Cyberlink - are you reading this ?
This behaviour is commonplace with a lot of apps like Nero, Winamp, Real etc.
It simply should not exist ! It's a simple user question asking for association changes to be permitted or present a list of current ones.
Forget an upgrade to v14 unless this age old hassle is fixed !
I'd suggest everyone take screencaps of file associations sorted by application handler making it a lot easier to put things back if needed.
