I'll do that. Thanks.
Recall, the MOV file lockup is recent.
The hang-ups started since the upgrade.....even when trying to do an open/browse for new stills with no video files in the folder, it would hang...Windows Explorer completely for that matter (ie. couldn't open WE outside of PD).
I thought it might be a shell-extension issue, so I removed Real-Player, without any difference.
Thanks.
Yes. I have 7.7.5.
Tried some things.
Uninstalled / Reinstalled PD12 with the latest patch.
Manually removed all old shadow files.

Lockups seem to be less frequent now (but still unacceptable).

Now, I think I'm also running in to the QuickTime file problem as others.
When producing a full HD 30fps video to .MOV, PD12 promptly crashes.
The initial message is 'your computer is low on memory'....which it isn't; 5.88GB used out of 16GB installed.
Then, it states, ICMCompressionSessionEncodeFrame failed.

Googling this, there seems to be a memory leak associated with this, at least back in 2007-2009, there was.
I too am experiencing this.
Ver 11 was fine. Loved the product. .....and 10 before that as well.

But Version 12, even with the latest update, goes 'not responding'.
I'm on the latest patched version of Win7. I have plenty of disk space on C: (Gigs). It's an SSD. I have a i7-3820 with 16GB and 2 nVidia GeForce GTX550 Ti cards. This is the same machine I used with the previous versions.

It hangs so frequently, I have backups set for every 2 minutes.
Most times it is relates to importing media, but more recently, is working with the video clips themselves that were imported.
I usually takes Windows Explorer with it, meaning I can't do anything separately with Windows Explorer when it hangs until I 'kill' PD12.

I'm on a deadline for one 1 week from now on a major project.
I don't expect a patch or anything that soon, but I really can't continue to work this way.

Any ideas? Workarounds? Temp fixes?
