Thanks for the responses guys.

I got so involved in the details (trees) I forgot to look at the forest.
I should probably just cleanly trim the beginning of the synched, combined and produced video clip at the start of the audio, then prefix the video, that starts first, to it, snapping them together on the timeline. If I can match up the frames, it should be as good as a synch. Hopefully there will be audio all the way through.

I really think (wish list) there should be an additional feature on the Multicam module.
Allow the user to choose one of two options:
1. Specify a hierarchy of preferred audio tracks so that a second, or third, audio track will be automatically used if the primary audio is missing on the timeline.
2. Specify that the audio switches from camera to camera as each camera is selected.
I am using two cameras with Multicam, and the camera with the best audio started 23 seconds later.
It is easy to switch back and forth between video tracks, but Multicam insists on using only one audio track.
Now my resulting video is missing audio for the first 23 seconds. How can I paste the audio from the other track onto the produced video and have it synch up?
I should be able to specify a preferred audio track but also have Multicam use the other audio track as a default when the preferred audio/video track has not started yet or has finished early.
