Thanks for the info. I guess I'm a little overwhelmed. I'm just not sure which file type and type of media I should choose. I don't think my needs are really unusual. I have a blue ray player and several other regular DVDs. I would like it to be able to play in multiple DVD players. Some of the video was shot on a high definition camera. It also would be nice to be able to take advantage of the Blu-Ray's high-definition capability. Do you know what the right combination would be? Am I shooting to high?

I'm new to this and I've found the combination of choosing the most appropriate file format and disc type to be very confusing for a given application. Is there someplace I can go to help explain what I should use?
