What does that mean "import"?
I set folders for the Movie library. But PDVD 16 is inconsistent in finding new files that are added to that folder. It can happen instantly. But often it takes hours or days before they are discovered. Sometimes it requires quitting and relaunching. Sometimes that doesn't work either and I have to delete the library from PDVD and re-add the folders, so PDVD will rebuild everything all over again.

I hope that PDVD's movie info doesn't solely come from MoovieLine.com, because that site has serious problems with its dataset.

How can I force PowerDVD 16 to update its library? I'm changing names of files and folders, trying to get PDVD to recognize the movie and download art and info. In doing this, PDVD can lose a movie completely from the library, not refreshing to find the newly named folder.

What is the PowerDVD 16 naming convention for files, to ensure it finds movie artwork and info?
I have blu-ray and DVD ISOs. I'm naming them per Plex and Kodi convention of putting the iso in a folder named "Movie Title (YYYY)" where the YYYY is the theatrical release year according to IMDB. This is working overall quite well, and PDVD has found most of the art and info for my files.
However, it misses some easy ones, like Disney's Monsters Inc "Monsters, Inc. (2001)" and Corpse Bride "Corpse Bride (2005)". And some less easy ones, but still well known movies, are also failing such as Amelie and Nausicca Valley of the Wind.
What's the trick to getting PDVD to find artwork on movies?

My MoovieLive account uses Facebook login. How to I configure PowerDVD to login to MoovieLive?

I've reinstalled PowerDVD and upgraded to current intel graphics drivers. I've also changed temporarily from the a Sony HD projector to an ASUS HD monitor. The DVD playback is now normal.
I should have tried it on the new monitor before making any software changes, to verify if it was the Projector or the Software. But I forgot that step.
If it resumes when I'm connected to the Projector, I'll play with the TrueTheater settings. (At a quick look, that seems to make DVD's look worse, not better, so I'm hoping those aren't necessary.)

I've tried two or three DVDs and its systemic.
Is there a feature within PowerDVD I need to enable for DVD playback?

I've submitted a technical support request.

There's no firmware update for my Blu-ray drive.
PowerDVD behaves the same with both a DVD disc played from the drive and from a DVD ISO copied from the same disc. The video is plays too slow for a moment, and then plays too fast as if catching up, then normal for a bit, and then repeats the behavior.

I just "upgraded" to PowerDVD 16 over the weekend and am seeing this issue, among others. The jerkiness playback for me stopped when I disabled hardware acceleration, let PowerDVD do PCM encoding and enabled WASAPI exclusive mode. With any of those options enabled I saw micro stutter in DVD and Blu ray.
Oh yeah, PDVD16 also randomly crashes loading 3D blu rays for me, so its currently unusable on my rig (Zotac EN970).
I'll take a look at that too. Thanks.

Hi DaveF,
To sort out any possible or unknown compatibility problems, you may check if the VGA driver or BD/DVD drive firmware is up-to-date from hardware vendors' support page.
Beside of that, for the problem under certain platform, I recommend you to directly contact the customer support:

Greetings
Chuck
The PC is brand new and updated. Though I've not checked the BD firmware. I'll do that this weekend.
And I'll contact Tech Support if that's not the issue.

I have this working with 16, based on the simple approach taken in this thread. I found it worked best if PowerDVD was already running, and I don't quit it when done. But I've only played a little.

DVD playback with PowerDVD 16 on my computer and projector is jerky. The visual have a subtle jump or jerk effect. It may be somewhat rhythmic, rather than erratic. Blu-ray including 3D is normal.
What might be causes and possible solutions?

I found the problem: It's only in "Computer" GUI mode. It's not available in "TV" GUI mode, which is what I was using.

I'm using the trial version of PowerDVD 16. Some ISOs are missing cover art (for example, Monsters Inc ("Monsters_Inc_USA.iso"). Is there a way to set the cover art?
Other threads discuss right-clicking a file to choose artwork. But when I right click in the trial version, there's no artwork options.
