It's nothing to do with mentality, the I record at the same frame rate that the program will produce at, that's either 25fps or 50fps. I've not found any option to output a video in a suitable format for youtube at 60fps. I choose 25 over 50 purely because it's less file space and I've not heard that one gives better performance over another. My own experiments using 50 as both the input recording and output yield the same results, it's still blurred in places.
Hey, I'm filming gaming footage and then after editing the footage I upload to youtube.

I'm having a problem with certain sections of the video becoming very blurred after they've been produced with the program. I record at 25 fps and that's the same speed I output from powerdirector. I record in fast mpeg4 version 2 codec, then output to xavc s 1920x1080/25p (17mpbs). The original footage is also in 1920x1080.

From my research it appears that with gaming footage one thing that makes a huge difference is to disable the auto resampling. Trouble is I can't find a way to do this, or it's called something else. I'm not overly familiar with video editing so it's very likely that I've missed it. I've tried upsampling the clips which helps a lot, but I'm not sure if this is the same thing or not. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I tried earlier to do that but the file converter that I tried wouldn't let me convert in full HD unless I paid for the upgrade, I've not had time since. I've now re-recorded the video and made improvements on it and the new recording has had no problems with editing.

The only thing I did different with the two in question was that I cut and pasted them to a different folder before opening so I can only assume that it caused an error in the process. It's lower down on my priority list now as I have a replacement, however I will install some converting software that can deal with the file soon and then convert and convert back to see what happens, then I'll post an update with the results
Hey, I'm making videos of my gaming to upload to YouTube and so far all is good with the world. At least until today...
I've made a couple of videos that I want to run some quick edits onto, they've been made in exactly the same way as I've done previously with no changes made anywhere.
I record at 30 fps using D3DGear and record my mic input into the file as I make it. Yesterday a video I made was able to be edited in powerdirector without any problems, but today when I try to import the file it get this error code

Error type : Video cut
Material type : Video
Error information : Unknown
Material filename : C:\Users\Craig\Videos\Minecraft Raw Footage\Let's play 1.wmv
Detailed information : EC_ERRORABORT ..\CES_Source\Src\CES_Engine\CES_MediaLoader.CPP:6805
Source filter GUID : 187463A0-5BB7-11D3-ACBE-0080C75E246E

I'm not sure if there is anything in this information, I've recorded shorter clips since and they work perfectly, the two files in question are 5.2GB and 3.99GB respectively. Incidentally I can't do anything with either of them in windows movie maker, but the slightly smaller file (3.9GB) that I made yesterday works just fine

Both files play perfectly in windows media player, I just can't do any editing to them, does anyone have any clues? My initial thought is that maybe the file size is too big for the program to cope with and I'll be cutting the file size of future recordings in half. However I still need the footage I've recorded on these two.

Thankyou for your time

Thankyou very much, I've already been over and selected a few to try out!
I've been trying to design a few short text introductions to movies and I've got to say that the variety of fonts available by default are somewhat limited. They all look so similar! There are a few exceptions, but for the most part it's hard to really tell any of them apart. I'd like to import some new font styles that I can use in the programme, but I'm unsure as to how I can do this, or even if it's possible.

Thanks in advance for any help/tips offered!
