Hi.

I am very frustrated with an issue. When I am in PD11 and have more than one track, I see little video glitches where the visual "jumps" for a fraction of a second. And it shows up in the finished video.

In detail: I shoot camcorder video of an acoustic giutar, which I then sync to a .wav soundtrack file.

If I "produce" a video of just the video (to MP4 at 1080P) it is not an issue.

Once I add the soundtrack file to the timeline the glitches begin to appear. It is only here and there but it is annoying and looks unprofessional.

I am afraid it is a compatibility issue with a new computer.

I am using a Sager (Clevo) gaming laptop.

i7-4690K 4.00GHz, 32 GB RAM

Wndows 8.1

The graphics card is GTX980M

Solid State hard drive, and I am running the program on it, saving to it, and all the source files are on it. I have tried rendering to an external drive and that has no affect.

But my previous Sager had no issues at all with PD11.

I had the issue with the new computer from the moment I installed PD11 programs. Due to some unrelated issues with the document indexer, I completely reformated the hard drive, reinstalled Windows 8.1, reinstalled PD11, and the problem continues.

Here is an example video

A glitch is seen at 2.42 in the video and a really bad one, with a very noticable jerk that seems to have two images from different times was covered up by my blacking out the last moments of the performance.

Ths is a very small glitch compared to some, so I am unable to complete any more vidoes until I get this fixed.

And I will make clear, I see the glitches in the preview window. It is almost like some sort of electric interference is causing it, but they actually render into the finished video.

I have tried this just on battery power and plugged into different locations.

I have not been able to make any video since it started that does not have these sorts of glitches happening.

This is an insanely expensive laptop, so it simply is unacceptible it cannot render simple videos perfectly.

But I am hoping it might be something easily fixed before I update to Windows 10.
Ah YES!

Forget that only works on images!

But there was something weird going on as sliding the fade in and fade out bars was having no bearing on anything.

But it is working now that I started up my PC and relaunched PD11.

Thanks!

Now, what about the movie credit titles? They are not included with either "pack" I have. Where would I have downloaded them?
I recently installed PowerDirector 11 with the Essential content pack and the Premium content pack.

NONE of the titles available to me have Fade In and Fade Out.

That is grayed out for ALL titles.

Is this a bug?

Did something go wrong in the install? Even titles that clearly are set to fade in and out have the Fade In and Fade Out option unavailable to turn on or off.

Also, there is also nothing like as simple text fade or a rolling credit like after a movie.I know I had both of them available on my other PC.

I do not want or need color spalshes, or race cars, or palm trees, or clovers, or ANYTHING. I just want simple text that will FADE IN and FADE OUT at the start or end of movies, and sometimes a rolling scroll of credits at the end of a movie on a simple black backround.
This problem persisted, but I learned I could make the blank purple screen go away by right clicking on the preview screen and going to the 3D settings.

At first I would change them and then change them back to normal 2D.

Then I learned I could just click on 2D even though that was already selected. So I have been able to work - until today.

Now the purple screen will not go away ever, even after shutting down the program.
When I search the forum I only find posts from 6 years ago about this.

I am now using Windows 8, so do not want to mess with registry stuff that is based on old versions of Windows.

My desktop has the icon or gadget where I may drag files to burn CDs. It is three times the size of other desktop icons, I never use it, it is always showing up where I don't want it.

How can I get rid of it.

Right clicking does not contain any options to exit or close it. Non of the buttons on it are related to this.

I want to make it go away and not come back, unless I go open the program manually.

Thanks.
