I don't know the cause of the issue, but for some reason, most of the time PowerDVD Remote will be unable to find a server to work with PowerDVD. If I uninstall and reinstall the program it works, but on next restart it doesn't.
Workaround: If PowerDVD Remote fails to find a server, open the task manager and look for PowerDVDAgent.exe. End the process. Wait for it to close, then open it again manually. The default location is C:\Program Files\Cyber Link\PowerDVD12\PowerDVDAgent.exe. Your mobile device should now be able to find a server. If it doesn't work, try repeating the process. I've never had to do it more than 4 times in a row to get to to work.
I'd love it if anybody could tell me how to make a shortcut on my desktop that will do this all with a single double-click. The best I've been able to do is make a shortcut for PowerDVDAgent.exe, but I still have to hunt down the process in the task manager.

If that's supposed to do it, then I might be having a technical problem with my player, because it isn't doing it. The side popup appears when I start playing any movie, and stays there until I move the mouse, at which point it vanishes (cursor is already in the center of the screen, not hovering over the menu).
I've tried disabling the following:
*Show Information
*Automatically connect to the Internet for movie information
*Display rating dialog when playback stops
*Automatically sign in to MoovieLive
*MoovieLive Features
It seems PowerDVD is ignoring my preferences for some reason.

It's already de-selected. I meant to include a screenshot of the menu I was talking about, but it seems the "print screen" key doesn't work with PowerDVD. Here's a picture I took of my monitor:

You can see it on the right of the screen.

Every time I start to watch a blu-ray disc, this little windows on the right of the screen pops up with "Movie Info" and a spot to click to leave a rating. It stays there until I move my mouse around or click inside the playing movie. I've tried disabling Moovie Live and unchecking rate movie when playback is stopped. I can't think of anything left to uncheck. I'm tired of this window popping up and covering up my movies!
