PowerDVD (previous versions) » PowerDVD 10 Install Failure » Go to message
My HP laptop comes pre-installed with PowerDVD 10 with Blu-Ray support. However, when I attempted to install the latest patch for it (HP-CNB.HP_RiTA10_v2808_DVD110414-02_Normal), it uninstalled my previous installation and then gave an error message: "Error Number: 0x80040707 Description: DLL function call crashed: VerCheck.CheckVersion6 Setup will now terminate.) I have attempted a factory reset, as well as trying to install the software from HP's support site, but I get the same error code. My system specs are below; any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
