Hi HDedit. Thanks for your answer, although it wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear. :
Now I must ask for a bit more help. I've looked at the list and this type of hardware is not my strong suit. I've found the following two graphics cards at reasonable prices -- basing my choices on PD9's listings of GeForce GT/GTS/GTX 500 series and GeForce 9800GT and above. I wondered if you could help me decide which one to get, or if I should keep looking.
-- GeForce GT 520 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card
-- GeForce 9800 GT Video Card - 1024MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, DVI, HDMI, VGA
1. Am I in the right ballpark with these two choices?
2. Is there one that is better?
3. Which is "better" for video editing, etc. -- GeForce or Radeon
4. Which would you buy (if either)?
Thanks again for your help!

Hi all,
I've searched the site for help, and tried all of the advice I could find on this topic (i.e. unchecking Enable HD and turning off power acceleration) but it hasn't helped. My project will render to, at the most, 4% and then stop.
I've tried rendering to every file format, and the only difference is how far the rendering gets before freezing.
What is really baffling to me is I had the trial version of PD9 Ultra64, and I was able to do all of this with it. So, I went ahead and spent the $$ to purchase and now this.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it -- I have a project for work that's due soon. I've included the diagnostics.
Thanks!
