Hello,

The HDV I capture from my cannon XH A1 via Firewire is very grainy and pixelated (see attached photo).

PD Version: PD 9 Ultra Trial 9.0.0.2701

1. Under the Capture tab I am able to preview and record the file. The preview of the file during the capture appears to be very high quality.

2. After the file is captured, if dragged into the timeline, viewed in the Media Viewer (at Full HD resolution) or rendered, the file is extremely pixelated.

What has worked:

1. successfully captured HD quality video using 3 differents brands of editing software.
2. I was able to import these files captured by other software into PD and the quality looked great.

This leads me to believe that it is a problem with the capture step within PD. Any ideas?

Thanks!

GG
