Thanks, Cranston. I wasn't sure if the new audio WAV would stay in sync if I left it unlinked, so I finished my edits then chose the Link audio option again to check it before producing. I did already have those options you mentioned checked in my Prefs so maybe that was what kept it in sync. Anyhow, next time I will know what to do in advance!

I appreciate your help. Have a good day!

Wow, Cranston, that worked but I can't figure out why. I had done the audio in Wave Editor & then brought it back & continued to work on the project for a good while using the buttons just fine til suddenly they disappeared. Now thanks to your solution they are back,

So no I need to know: do I have to leave them unlinked now or when do I link them again?

Thanks, also to Tony for answering & trying to help. BTW, I have found the PDToots tutorials very helpful & also the ones I found on this site.
I have been using PD10Ultra (10.0.0.1129b) with no problem on my Win 7, 64-bit, i7 930. Today I have suddenly lost the function buttons(trim, multitrim,fix/enhance,etc)that were above my timeline view in Edit mode. At same time I no longer have the centre 'target' point in the preview window. I can play my project in either clip or movie mode but I can't access any of the edit functions anymore even by right-clicking. I restarted computer still nothing.

I have no idea if I clicked something by mistake & have read the UltraGuide & the Tutorial Book but am unable to see how to get these buttons back. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

vidgal
