JSYK... I just installed the 5/27 patch to bring PDVD11 to build 1719. After rebooting, I still have the black rectangle problem!

Quote: Just click on the rectangle and hit the ESC button on your keyboard. Should get rid of it for now.

Yes, it does. However, PowerDVD stops working immediately after clicking on any of the folder tabs...

Please also make sure to have installed the latest versions of your Graphics Adaptor and Audio.

You may also try to uninstall the PowerDVD and make a clean new installation:
1. Uninstall PowerDVD from System Applet (if you see problem with uninstall proceed with step #2)
2.1 delete the folder "c:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD x" [x=8,9,10]
3. reboot the PC or Notebook
4. reinstall PowerDVD
5. start and activate when asked for
6. install the latest Patches
All above Done

PowerDVD 10 worked well. Upgraded to PowerDVD 11 and now am unable to use product at all. A black rectangle obscures 80% the PowerDVD window. Have updated Win7-64 drivers to current for Radeon 5870 and installed latest K-lite Mega codec pack with no improvement. Have no patience to use the technical staff who neither actually reads the problem description nor understands basic English. Has anyone had this problem and found a work-around?
