Stray bits of video that I can't remove!

First post here...soooo...when I remove a scene, I occasionally see that a half second of video seems to remain embedded in the timeline. Annoying...and I was wondering if there was a practical way to remove that tiny bit of video?

Small snippets of clips can be best seen by expanding the Timeline Ruler to the max.

Hi,

I afraid you'll have to "see" them before you can remove them!

Expand your timeline as much as necessary - if you have, as you say, 0.5sec of an unwanted clip that will be 15frames @30fps timeline, which is not so bad to find. If the unwanted clip is only 5 frames long, then it will be harder to identify.

Once you expand your timeline sufficiently, you will be able to see the unwanted snippets and then be able to select and delete them as normal.

It's usually much easier to set the "Seek by" to Segment and then use the period "." or comma "," to toggle through each track a segment at a time and simply watch the time code changes to identify the small pieces. If a long timeline, as you say finding those 5 frames by zooming in is hard, the Seek by Segment makes it easy.
