Change the Drive For The "C:\Users\Public\CyberLink\" Location...

Hello!

I have installed the full version of CyberLink PowerDirector 365 and all the other related Cyberlink software on the "Z" drive of my Windows 10 PC. However, Cyberlink looks to insist on placing audio, video and other downloadble items in the "C:\Users\Public\CyberLink\" location. My "C" drive isn't for media storage like this, as it is just for booting, system files and other critical programs.

Windows 10 also does NOT see my "C" drive as my document, downloads, music, etc. drive either. As I relocated it successfully to my "M" drive years ago. However, Cyberlink seem to arbitrarily choose the "C:\Users\Public\CyberLink\" location for media downloads.

QUESTION: Is there a way to make the all the Cyberlink software (including Application Manger) look at a different location? For instance "Z:\Users\Public\CyberLink\" where my Cyberlink software is installed instead of "C:\Users\Public\CyberLink\" its being forced to? (Maybe a registry hack, etc?)

Thank you in advance for any advice!

First of all, you can set the default installation folder directly in the CAM, but that works best when you make the change before installing any apps.

In your situation, the Windows mklink command should do everything you need. See this detailed discussion.
