Am I the only one who gets errors when downloading (any) video from Shutterstock AND iStock?

See the error message attached. I got the error when using 20.6 and it still exists after the instalation of 20.7.

Any suggestion on how to tackle this? I have no issues with any video processing and viewing from any other windows applications..

(get the same error using ColorDirector)

thanks

I just tried a downloading a couple clips from both sources and didn't have any trouble with the clips, but after opening and closing the tool a couple times it became unclosable (meaning that clicking on the X didn't do anything and I had to kill PD (20.7) with Task Manager). I don't think that's related to the issue you're seeing though.

By any chance were the clips you chose .MOVs rather than .MP4? Does it make any difference if you select a different resolution before downloading?

Ok thanks, I will keep trying things and let you know.
I did try a range of clips with various resolutions and both MP4 and MOV. No differences in handling.

I also experienced a number of PD 20.7 crashes. Info was sent to CL so I assume they are looking at that.
Also some weird things with Titles: empty title texts when moving and after a project merge (loading one on top of another).
when I can reproduce I will share.

After some digging I discovered that a HEIC translator was running in the background, that "caught" the downloads and tried and failed to convert. I removed the translatorand the Shutterstock downloads work fine now.

See my other topic on the crashes though. Version 20.7 looks unstable and the handling of thumbnails has not improved. Alas.
