I typed up a response that appeared in the Community Forum Issue titled “Converting old 720 x 480 mp4 file to 1080p & Improve Quality - Grainy & Color Issues”. That post has since disappeared.

I created a split screen video to demonstrate what can be done in PD20/365 to answer that question in the PD Forums. The original captured video is from a VHS tape, a 720 x 480 resolution mp4. Fix/Enhance Video Denoise is set to 100, Edge Enhancement set to 100, Color Enhancement set to 100. The video was produced with a custom 1440 x 1080 6 Mbps video setting. See the sharpness increase in the woman’s eye in the right Enhanced half of the video. YouTube link to the video: https://youtu.be/-GMTbaB1VI4 .

Original question asked here:

"I have Power Director 20 Ultimate and am wondering what steps should I take to convert a 20 yr. old 4.3 aspect ratio wiith 30 frames per second 720 x 480 video .mp4 file to a higher qulaity 1080p .mp4 file and also improve the video grainy and color issues.

I know there are a number of options under the Edit a video using tthe Fix/Enhance option but I not sure which ones are most appropriate for grainy and color issues.

Also what is the most recommended settings when you want to "Produce" this video."
