Produced MPEG-4 file but it's not perfect

I produced my first clip as mpeg-4 but it's not as smooth as I would expect it to be. It's not as smooth as the original clip. There seem to be very small "breaks" in video and in audio. How can this be fixed? Is it expected? Does it depend on my hardware? How can I make it better?

I run PD 8 on Windows 7 64 bit.

Do you mean the Portable Mp4 in Produce?
What is the format and resolution of those "original" files?
