Launching Audiodirector and Colordirector from Powerdirector365

Hello,

I'm new (maybe 100hrs use) and liking the program.

Just a few things I'm not even sure how to search about, or haven't been able to find answers to in tutorials.

When I launch Audiodirector or Colordirector from a project in PD365 it looks like those are restarting each time. Is that the way it's supposed to be? I tried starting them independently but get an error when I call them from PD. I'm not too experienced so like to make a change, see it in context, and then make the next change; and this seems like a clumsy way to do it.

And is there a way to have two projects open, or easily switch back and forth, so that certain clips from one can be brought into the other, without having to close one project and open another, copy the clip, and then reopen the first? Again, inexperience means I'm not always sure which to get so end up going back and forth.

Sometimes a title doesn't show when playing the preview, but it's there fine when produced. Would I be correct in thinking that's likely a resource issue?

Aside from some titles occasionally not showing in the preview, it seems to preview fine; should I be using "Render Preview" and/or when should it be used?

Thanks in advance for help with this.

That to me would point to a video driver issue. Try disabling hardware decoding in preferences so the screen gets refreshed for each change you make. This may help with your other preview issues. Change the preview settings to high if you have not done so yet.

I have never used render preview except when multi track full hd preview of a small area is required in the past. It is absolutely unnecessary to me for my needs.

I don't get an error when I have opened CDR independently, then called it from PDR but CDR will close after exiting and returning to PDR. The inter-operability of the programs has been the subject of comment before and is not the most streamlined.

No, there is no way to have projects open concurrently but there are possibilities that will suit some requirements :

You could use an inserted project as a temporary "library" of clips and copy and paste to the main project as required??
