Is there a way to change the size of the timeline markers? Sometimes they are difficult to grab to define a a clip.

There aren't any settings to change the size of any of the graphical controls. You may find that changing the display scale in Windows will make them bigger, although the cost will be a reduced working area on your screen.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "grab to define a clip" but the Shift right or left arrows will cycle to the next or previous timeline marker. Not sure if this helps your need or not.
