Hi, Using pwd365 on new Lenovo m70t, i7-10770 on board Intel HD 630 video, Windows 11.
Trying to record miniDV tapes from Canon DV camera via 1394 firewire adapter. All updates applied, hardware customizing executed.
Almost at every mouse click and random during recording the computer crashes with Windows "blue screen" stop error.

Anyone an idea for a solution?

First thing I'd do would be to check the driver for your FireWire card. Try to get the driver provided by the card's manufacturer rather than the one Windows provides.

Or it could be a buggy FireWire card. I'm assuming your computer didn't come with the IEEE-1394 installed and that you found a cheap one on Amazon. It might be worth buying a new one. And using the driver that comes with it.

Eilas, I used this card in an older i7 3770 HP desktop, no problems, just wanted a faster computer.
for firewire there are only Windows drivers, the old 2096 and the legecy driver after windows 8, recommended bij Microsoft

i tried also bios settings - no energy saving on PCI and via the advanced Windows energy settings.

T be continued , lenovo and Startech support...
