Squeal on audio tracks

HELP!

I have a clip that had both voices and music on it. I was able to remove the music from this clip using AudioDirector. However, after the music was removed and I played the clip back, I had several squeals that sounded like feedback from a microphone. I tried to restore the clip by trying the ‘Hiss Removal,’ ‘Plosive Removal’ and ‘Noise Removal.’ Some of these functions altered the result, somewhat, but they still didn’t remove this squeal but rather degraded the voices. What is this squeal, why is it happening, and how do I remove it? I checked the online User’s Guide and tutorials, but can’t find any reference to this type of problem or how to correct it.

Based on what you've written, the squeal sounds like it's the "leftovers" from the music removal tool.

I imagine you'd have better results going back and tweaking the settings on the music removal from your original clip again to tighten up the results rather than trying to process out the artifacts afterward.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
