Power Director & Color Director Jitters

I have used PD for many years but until recently had not used it with the 4K video footage, captured by my Mavic Air 2S drone. I also recently acquired Color Director for color grading the raw video. My problem is that after color grade editing, the video preview image becomes slow and jittery. Other edits including cropping and zooming made in PD seem fine. I have read many of the threads on this forum and followed a number of the suggestions, including increasing the page size settings in Windows 10, adjusting the preview to a lower grade in PD, shutting down other programs and providing priority to PD etc. Final rendered mp4 videos are produced accurately and free of any noticable problems in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm not sure whether my problems are inexperience, lack of knowledge or hardware. If this is a hardware problem, I would be grateful for any suggestions on upgrades that I could make.

I have a Dell XPS desktop with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 32 GB RAM, 500GB SD + 2TB HD, 64 bit OS, NVDIA GTX 1650 Super video card and Windows 10 Pro.

Color grading (applying CLUTs or Color Presets) take up significant CPU resources, and none of the tips about making previewing smoother will make much difference. Your system isn't all that strong to begin with so you'll have to work within its limitations.

In my experience, the best way to work with color-graded clips is to either produce them right away and then do the rest of the editing with the newly produced versions, or do all the other edits first and then apply the color grading as the final step before producing.
