Hi Alex,

I can tell you that the patch build is ready and just going through the final testing stage.

Should be within a week. Will let you know when it's posted.

So, They have posted build 2220c on the software update page...

I was hoping there was an update beyond 2220c as related by CLD/David,

Are to we expect something beyond 2220c anytime soon?

Alex,

Good question, I guess one can only assume this is finally the "official" release of 2220c for the already purchased customers since they have been providing it to new user purchases for sometime now.

Ironically, the issues resolved and update notes provided are the same as release 2220 so don’t enlighten much, see attached pics.

Hi Alex,

There is an update beyond that one coming. It is still going through final testing. As JL correctly assumed, it was just the official release of the C version of the last update.

Hopefully the release will be this week, but with testing you can never be completely sure of the exact date.

I'll let you know when posted.

David

Hi,
It tells you on the support web page what the 2220C patch update addresses.

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/powerdirector/patches_en_US.html

If you mean the next one, the issues that were fixed are:

1. The produced video can't be uploaded to Youtube using PowerDirector8.0.
2. Aspect Ratio setting of the produced clip in batch produce doesn't follow the project's setting.
3. Magic style template which produced by magic style does not have link on DirectorZone web site.
4. PDR pops up a warning message when export a packed project to USB device.
5. PDR displays the duration which isn't user's setting in video speed setting page.
6. PDR crash when try to use any features in AMD CPU which do not support SSE2.
7. Cannot edit video effect keyframe after pause playback by hotkey.

It also adds Canon AVCHD camcorder support SVRT and MPEG2/H.264 video file support hardware decode.

Regards,
David

So David am I to assume that there is no fix for........

1. The i7 CPU 2 core issue

2. The Cuda issue of producing interlaced instead of progressive when choosing to produce 720p H.264 AVC format.

If there is no fix for these two issues, that is really bad form from Cyberlink, especially when they specifically advertise i7 compatibility.

Stop!

All that's happening here is David tried to give you an insight. Speculating and complaining is not testing or trying out what has been fixed for oneself.

I've held back from intervening because I honestly get bored with individuals who hassle and harangue just to find out about a patch currently still being worked on! I usually ignore pointless posts.

I'll wait for the release. I suggest you all do the same.

Post locked.
