When will mkv be added to PowerDVD? All free players play it for years (VLC, MPC, etc).
About 25% of my video files are mkv. Nowadays all HD files are mkv.
Isn't it the standard?

Hope PowerDVD will get up-to-date with this.

I bought POWERDVD 9 ultra yesterday and I also assumed that it would play MKV files. I tried one movie in MKV but it keeps freezing the image for a second and them plays for a few seconds and then freezes again

I currently use GOM player, for mkv files but sometimes the subtitles don't work and I have to use mediaplayer classic with some codec to make it work.

I guess I assumed that PowerDVD would solve this problem and add true theater effects to improve quality.

It Would be nice to have one mediaplayer to play ALL formats ... and I would like it to be PowerDvd ultra

Cheers
