"ALT" + "DEL" (Delete selected part and move all other clips) often does not work

Hello forum,

am I the only one having the PD19 issue from time to time that "ALT" + "DEL" (Delete selected part and move all other clips to fill the gap) does not work?

It just happens from time to time - or from clip to clip - and it makes no difference if I use the shortcut or the mouse to remove a selected part via the rightclick menu ...it does not work in both cases for some selected clips.

Some clips later it works as expected again.
Until now I did not find out why this issue occurs...if there is a dependency to other clips in some cases that prevent the function to work properly...?

Any hints?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

I guess it depends what you mean by does not work, it does not do anything, or not as expected?

It would be helpful to attach the timeline pic of a case where it does not work.

I notice some peculiar features with it, basically a dependency with what's on the tracks. One example is the attached pic, if I Alt Del the first skateboard video on track 1, everything is fine and track 1 and 2 close that gap from track 1 delete and all other objects on the tracks are still consistently place relative to each other. However, if I select just the second skateboard clip on track 1 and Alt Del, it closes the downstream void gap on timeline 2 as well so I lose the 3 red squares of timeline content and my timeline content is no longer as expected and the downstream audio and video on track 1 is shifted. To me that does not appear proper.
