"Finishing" a video, then when upload to platform, lose content

Hello, I've got a question about content inside Width and Height of a given video project:

There've been times where I finished editing a video, and I get it looking great (Width and Height) in PowerDirector 17 64-Bit and as a .mp4 file on my hard drive, and it plays great in the default Video Player in Windows 10. But then, when I upload it onto, say, as a Facebook Cover Photo as a Video, it chops off some of the border around the bottom, and on the left and right sides of the video.

Are there scan-lines/grid-lines , dotted-lines or whatever, that I can turn on, in PowerDirector 17 64-Bit, where I can see what's gonna be chopped off once I upload it to places like

1) YouTube
2) Rumble
3) Facebook "Cover Photo"
4) Facebook as a Video post
5) really, as a Video post on *any* social media platform

I just hate the idea of adding all these graphic elements, text elements, Chroma Key--all this stuff--and getting it juuuuuuuust right in both PowerDirector 17 64-Bit and as a standalone .mp4 in the Video Player on my harddrive. But then all of a sudden, I lose half the bottom of the video; or lose like 25% of the left-and-right side content inside the video, after I upload it.

With different platforms requiring different (and sometimes conflicting) aspect ratios and pixel resolutions, you're most likely going to need to customize every video.

In newer versions of PD, you can set the project aspect ratio (AR) to 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 4:5, 1:1 and 21:9 (in addition to 360° and produce straight from the timeline.

However, in older PD versions you'll need to make a custom produce profile and also use at least one 3rd party tool to properly trim the edges so there won't be any surprises after uploading each video. See this discussion and this one to see if one might work better for you.

Finally, this discussion has the kind of grid overlays you're looking for.
