BlueRay video degrades as disc access soars

I just purchased PowerDVD 21 and have been reading FAQ's ect. My comp is i7-6700k, 32GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 2060 all HD are SSD.
When I play a BlueRay on my PC Win10 21H1 I after a few minutes the video stop/starts for a few seconds then looks like the decompression is failing. This has happened on four BlueRay disks. I noticed that there is a lot of hard disk access when I play a BR disc. When that access goes from short blinks to solid the movie stops completely and the decompression in subsequent stopt/starts is lost.

Is the hard disk access required for me to play the BlueRay disc?
Is there something I can do to stop the hard disc from being overloaded?

Thanks

Hello,

The software has to load up program modules and initiate the DRM protection functions on Windows to start Blu-ray playback on movie discs. The program file loading and processing on the Windows OS will unavoidably access the hard drive to load data.

What you are describing though with what sounds like extremely slow load times, is not very common. I'd suggest that you contact CyberLink Customer Service about that if it persists:
