Can PD19 open videos created in PD12?

I own PD 12. If I buy PD 19 Ultra lifetime, can it open projects created in PD 12 and will I be able to work on them? Thank you.

It's normal for newer versions of PD to be able to open and edit files saved in earlier versions but once they're saved in the new version they can no longer be opened in the older one. Regards,
