PowerDVD20 Ultra Startup crash

Greetings all.

I installed PowerDVD20 Ultra on my system, Windows 10 Pro, 64 GB RAM, Ryzen 9 3950x, RTX 2080 Super. If I try launching PowerDVD via the direct EXE, it starts up, but immediately freezes then shuts down with no error message.

Launching via its desktop shortcut does the same.

If I select a video or mp3 and double click it, PowerDVD20 launches fine with no issues.

Has anyone faced this issue? If they have, and they can provide a fix I would appreciate it.

Mine started doing this after the new patch. I put in a ticket but not sure what to expect. Mine wasn't working at all by trying to start it normally and I just tried what you said and it came on.
