I receive an error message every time I try to go in to edit my video files. Everything was working fine and then all of a sudden it won't let me edit anything at all.

Does someone know how I can fix this?

You could download the same video again from YouTube as a .mp4 or as a vp9 mkv and try it again.

If the error repeats then use a different downloader or download it at a lower resolution suitable for your editing.

What has worked for me in the past when this happens is I use Handbrake (a file conversion app) to re-render the file. Just re-render it in the same format. This will fix the error in your file and make it editable.
