What is represented in the x/- box in the upper left corner of a photo shown in the panel view browser?

It's hard to answer because you posted in the PhotoDirector forum but your title says "PowerDirector." (now corrected - Mod) Maybe a screenshot would help.

Use Alt Print Screen or the Windows snipping tool (Win+Shift+S) if you have Win10 then save the image as PNG or JPG. Click on the Attachments button below the forum's text box to upload and share it here.

If you're referring to this symbol , it simply indictaes that the image has been cropped in PhD.

Sorry for the confusion stating PhotoDirector and PowerDirector. (true newbie)
