Green Screen and transitions

The other day I did a video with a green screen section but found when I add another video after that clip, if I tried to use a tranistion before or after the clip that had the green screen edit, it looked weird, like the green screen character look weird at the beginning and end of the clip. So i decided to not to use transitions.

Is there a way to add transitions without causing this effect. The only I can could think off was to do the green screen sections as seperate videos and add them in later.

The simplest solution is to create your greenscreen effect in a separate project.

You can then import that project and use it as media. You can apply your transition or fade to it.
