Hi all, not sure if this is the forum for general advice. Was once active on Cyberlink around v10 era and then stopped.

Now I need to produce a video for personal use plus YouTube and wondering if v19 or 360 is suitable for my current lappie. Heres the dxDiag:

Thanks for the DxDiag results. Your laptop is fine for working with HD clips, but it will struggle if you're editing 4K videos. Using shadow files will help.

The video driver for your Intel GPU is more than a year and a half out of date, although that seems to be the most recent driver available from HP's support page.

If you plan to have PD use the nVidia GTX 1050 instead, you should be able to update to the latest studio driver directly from nVidia.

Note that you may have to enable the nVidia card in the BIOS, and you also my need to tweak the graphics settings in Windows to prevent PD from using the Intel GPU (Quick Sync) instead. This post has more info.

Hi Optodate, thanx for this reply.

Encouraging to learn I can lproduce on this machine. Have updated nVidia driver and BIOS, plus enabled nVidia card.

Now I'll talk to sales re the best deal for a one-off project. Hoping to be able to buy for a month but suspect I'll need to sub for a year.
