Hi all,

when editing my podcast, I listen back to the recordings in double speed as I am just listening for errors and editing points. It is a super useful tool that literally halves the editing time.

I can't seem to find a way to do the same in Audio Director, or in Power Director.

Is there a way, and if so, how?

Cheers

Hello Chivvo26,

Welcome to the AudioDirector forum laughing

As far as I know, neither ADR nor PDR has a facility to increase playback speed. Both have audio scrubbing, but I doubt that would suit your purposes.

One possibility in ADR would be to temporarily shange the speed of the audio via Adjust Audio > Adjust Length (change speed). Set the duration to half or set the speed multiplier to 2x.

Once your editing is complete, return to Adjust Length & set duration to double or speed to 0.5x.
