in Power director editing mode one particular clip does not show the audio wave even though there is audio on it. Why is this

There was a bug in all versions of PD up to PD17, and there are dozens of posts on the forum regading this issue. A workaround was discovered 2 years ago, follow steps 1-3 to in this post to solve the problem.

FYI There is a new option in PD19 to manually trigger the waveforms to be redrawn if needed.
