Black Box Follows Cursor when recording using Screen recorders 16 and 2

Has anyone experienced that when using Cyberlink Screen Recorders 16 or 2 a black box follows the cursor around in the captured video? To isolate the problem, I used another screen recorder and it doesn't happen with videos produced with it.

There are only 4 versions of ScreenRecorder, the unnumbered original then 2, 3 & 4. If you have PD16, that should have come with SR2.

In any event, try unchecking the Enable hardware encoding box under Preferences (gear icon) Video:
