Hi,

In my previous version I was able to preview a video I made with the TV safe zone turned to on in order toc heck all clips were aligned.

In PD18 this option is greyed out. Is there a way to switch thin on again so that it shows the lines not just in clip, but also in movie mode?

Thanks

The PD 18.3 manual stipulates that the TV safe zone is only available in clip mode. That it is hidden in movie mode. Cyberlink must have done this for a reason. I can’t think of any reason. Suggestions anyone? If not, I suggest to ask Cyberlink to change this (In the File menu, Rate us & Povide suggestion) so that in movie mode the TV safe zone is visible too. After all, switching it off is easy.

The TV safe zone disappears when the clips are playing in the timeline regardless of whether they are in the clip or the movie mode. In none of the previous versions of PowerDirector I tested with the sample clips is this behavior different like in PD9, PD12, PD15.

To enable the option in PD18 try this: Highlight a clip in the timeline first by clicking on it. The option to enable the TV safe zone will not be grayed out anymore.
