The PD timeline default is in Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Frames. The skateboard clip is 15;28 for 29.97 fps. The length of the audio is 15:872 in AD. 15;28=15.9333… in time.15.933…-15.872=.061333… which is a small difference of close to 2 frames. I see this discrepancy in my long mp4 file of several hours encoding too but the audio is correctly synced.

There is no problem using video with different frame rates. Things work out better if they are constant frame rates..

I am having similar issues to Veebo but with syncing audio on two clips on different tracks. I have expanded the track by zooming in as far as I can, used the Alt and arrow keys the granularity of the nudges is to course a frame is far to great. Reading this in the forum pages is a topic that is just not going away, I really like power director, but this is a program killer for me if there is no solution.

Gelephoto7669 - Your issue is different. You can get 1/10 frame accuracy instead of 1 frame accuracy by changing it in Preference/Editing/ Check the Enlarge timeline scale for audio track.

Alt and arrow keys are still 1 frame accuracy. Use the mouse to obtain the 1/10 frame move after making that change in Preferences. Hope this helps...

Need to figure out a way to convert time in music to frame rate to sync it.

Hold down the Ctrl key and drag it outward to make it slower or inward to make it faster. You can unlink the audio first if it is attached to a clip. Reposition the audio to where you want it. It is that easy.

You can use a calculator to determine the time between frames. There may be musicians among this group that may be able to offer further help here.

Read your other post. You could make a portion of video fit any music. See my last reply above. Instead of changing the length of the audio clip, change the length of the video clip to match the music the same way with the Ctrl key and drag inward to speed it up or outward to slow down the video clip to match the audio. Reposition the clip as necessary. Again it is that easy.
