Am i powerful for PD8?
[Post New]
Wonder if it is guaranteed that my below system could handle AVCHD file editing in Power Director 8 with ease without freezing or jerkiness.

I run Windows Vista 64.

My video camera is Sony HDRXR500V that records in Full HD 1080i with aspect 16:9 in dolby 5.1ch.
I import videos to the PC from the camera by connecting the two by USB and simply copying AVCHD folder into a new directory on the PC.

Andy,

My computer has similar hardware. I have a Q9300 at 2.5 GHz, 4 Gb of Ram, and an Nvidia 9500GT video card.

I have no trouble with my Canon HG20 AVCHD (1080i) video camera even at the highest quality settings.
